It depends on the aircraft. Airbus A320-family aircraft are built to each airline’s specification, so some have USB power at the seat and many have none; airlines can add it later through a retrofit.
Why it varies from aircraft to aircraft
- Each airline specifies its own cabin and seats
- Older aircraft were often delivered without seat power
- Cabin refits and seat changes alter what is installed
How to check a specific flight
Check the airline’s seat map or aircraft page, or look for a port on the seat or armrest. Airlines usually publish power availability by aircraft type or cabin.
For airlines and lessors: adding USB power
USB power can be retrofitted into an A320 cabin. See our USB power page for the retrofit detail, then Request a Capability Review.
